SAP Basis Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP BASIS Consultant with strong expertise in SAP system administration, installation, configuration, monitoring, upgrades, and performance tuning. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing complex SAP landscapes and supporting mission-critical business applications across multi-system environments.

This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, security, availability, and optimal performance of SAP systems while supporting ongoing business operations and project initiatives. The consultant will work closely with cross-functional teams, functional consultants, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable SAP platform support.

Key Responsibilities

Perform SAP BASIS administration activities across SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and SAP HANA environments. Manage SAP system installations, configurations, upgrades, migrations, and patch implementations. Monitor SAP landscapes and proactively identify and resolve system performance issues. Execute client administration activities, including client creation, copy, refresh, and deletion.

Manage transport requests and ensure successful movement of objects across environments. Perform SAP kernel upgrades, system refreshes, and landscape maintenance activities. Administer SAP users, roles, authorizations, and security compliance requirements. Conduct backup, recovery, and disaster recovery support activities.

Troubleshoot and resolve SAP technical issues, system failures, and application-related incidents. Support SAP HANA database administration, monitoring, and performance optimization. Collaborate with infrastructure, network, database, and application teams to ensure seamless SAP operations. Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and system configurations.

Provide support for global SAP projects, system enhancements, and production deployments.

Required Skills

& Qualifications Strong experience in SAP BASIS Administration. In-depth knowledge of SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP HANA. Hands-on experience with SAP installations, upgrades, migrations, and system conversions. Expertise in transport management, system monitoring, and landscape administration. Strong understanding of SAP security, user administration, and authorization concepts.

Experience performing system refreshes, client copies, backup, and recovery activities. Knowledge of SAP performance tuning and troubleshooting methodologies. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and incident management skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams. Good verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SAP HANA administration and database maintenance. Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager, SAP Cloud technologies, and monitoring tools. Experience supporting large-scale SAP environments and global projects. Familiarity with high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions. SAP BASIS and/or SAP HANA certifications are a plus.
