Role Overview The Photography Retoucher is the final gatekeeper of visual quality within the production team. This role exists to transform raw photographic data into polished, premium-grade assets that align with the luxury aesthetic and performance expectations of Tribe X’s global clients.

The Photography Retoucher is responsible for ensuring every image leaving the production house is visually flawless, technically accurate, platform-ready, and aligned with Tribe X’s creative standards. This role also ensures Tribe X’s visual output maintains a premium, consistent, and high-performing aesthetic across all digital and campaign touchpoints.

What You’ll Do Technical Retouching Execute high-end retouching including: Colour grading Skin and texture cleanup Lighting adjustments Exposure balancing Object cleanup Compositing where required Maintain natural realism while achieving premium visual refinement. Ensure all imagery aligns with Tribe X creative standards and client brand guidelines.

Apply advanced retouching techniques while maintaining clean, premium, and realistic visual outputs. Ensure consistency in retouching quality across campaigns, shoots, and multi-asset deliverables. Collaboration & Creative Alignment Review image selects with Photographers, Senior Content Creators, and Creative Leads to ensure retouching aligns with approved mood boards and artistic direction.

Collaborate closely with production and creative teams during post-production workflows. Support smooth communication and handoffs across content and creative teams. Contribute proactively to maintaining consistency between creative direction and final visual execution. Collaborate with the Graphic Design team on final visual quality checks for integrated campaign assets where photography, retouching, and design outputs intersect.

Consistency Management Apply consistent colour profiles, visual treatments, and grading styles across campaign sets. Ensure visual harmony across all deliverables within a project or campaign. Maintain awareness of platform requirements, audience expectations, and luxury visual standards. Ensure colour consistency and visual continuity across multiple formats, platforms, and campaign outputs.

Asset Optimisation & Finalisation Export, resize, and optimize assets according to platform specifications and campaign requirements. Ensure final exports are technically accurate, high-resolution, and platform-ready. Maintain organised export systems, naming conventions, and delivery structures. Review visual consistency, export quality, alignment, spacing, colour accuracy, and formatting across final assets.

Digital Librarianship & Workflow Organisation Maintain organised internal server structures and folder systems. Ensure naming conventions, version control, and file organisation standards are followed consistently. Support easy retrieval of assets by Media, Creative, and Account teams. Maintain strong operational discipline across file management, export organisation, and asset archiving systems.

What You Bring (Qualifications) Must Have 3+ years of professional retouching experience, preferably within an agency or high-end production environment. Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop including: Advanced masking Compositing Retouching Colour correction Non-destructive workflows Strong proficiency in Adobe Lightroom or equivalent RAW processing software.

Deep understanding of colour theory, RAW processing, export settings, and visual consistency management. Strong understanding of premium and luxury visual aesthetics. Ability to maintain high-quality output within fast-paced production environments. Strong understanding of technical export standards, image optimisation, and digital asset preparation across platforms.

High sensitivity to visual detail, consistency, and premium finishing quality.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of advanced techniques such as Frequency Separation and Dodge & Burn. Experience with Capture One software. Familiarity with AI-assisted retouching tools such as Generative Fill and AI-based workflow enhancements. Previous experience within hospitality, luxury real estate, lifestyle, or premium consumer brands.
