POSITION: Special Education Social Worker Comstock Public Schools Grades K-12 SALARY: Dependent on years of school social worker experience and certification Salary starting at $49,044 WILL HONOR 100% OF PRIOR FULL-TIME SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER YEARS Eligible school for Teacher Loan Forgiveness Merit Pay, Sick Day Buyback Program, and Tuition Reimbursement per CEA Contract AVAILABLE: 2026-2027 School Year CERTIFICATION: School Social Worker Certificate or Registration, required Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with Special Education Endorsement, preferred QUALIFICATIONS: Effectively demonstrates facilitation skills, leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with administrators, teachers, students, and staff Experience and/or training in utilizing academic interventions and supporting students who have IEP's Extensive experience working with youth, families, and community organizations Experience in the development and facilitation of professional development Experience working in a multicultural environment supporting anti-bias and anti-racist practices Experience supporting restorative practices RESPONSIBILITIES: Individual and group sessions to help students cope with personal, social, academic, and family concerns Coordinate student culture processes including Restorative Practices, PBIS, and Leader In Me Teach classroom SEL lessons and support school wide SEL Coordinate IEP and 504 plans Work with Mc.

Kinney Vento families and "at-risk" students Support students with chronic discipline issues; monitor and identify attendance issues; meet with parents to help rectify these issues Seek outside counseling support for students and families.
