Senior Database Reliability Engineer

As we continue to expand, we are seeking a driven and strategic Senior Database Reliability Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities

Participate in the planning, management, and scaling of datastores to meet requirements. Protect databases through rigorous testing of backup and recovery processes and perform regular security audits. Use software and tooling to automate manual tasks, enabling engineers to innovate without risking data integrity. Conduct risk analysis to determine which database challenges to address and which to automate or optimize.

Work closely with DevOps and team leaders to ensure high levels of standardization, reliability, testability, maintainability, and system availability. Educate and support developers, building necessary guardrails to empower them in their database management efforts. Participate in the team's on-call rotation.

Requirements

Requirements Familiarity with Python Strong foundation in database design, implementation, and maintenance of RDBMSs. 3+ years of working experience. Ability to guide software engineers in optimizing database performance through query structuring and database engine fine-tuning. Expertise in preventing database failures and handling failure recovery scenarios.

Familiarity with version control systems like Git. Ability to communicate technical concepts across teams effectively. Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Graphite, and Grafana. Skilled in documenting and presenting best practices for data storage systems to internal and external teams. Resumes must be submitted in English.
