Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to schedule to minimize unplanned downtime. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to support continuous production. Read and interpret mechanical diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and technical documents. Document all maintenance activities in logs or digital maintenance systems. Assist in the installation and startup of new equipment or modifications to existing systems. Collaborate with production, safety, and quality teams to ensure operational efficiency. Comply with safety regulations including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, and proper use of tools and PPE. Maintain an organized and safe work environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training preferred. 4+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; rubber or plastics industry experience is a plus. Solid knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical troubleshooting. Proficient with hand and power tools; welding or fabrication experience is beneficial.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks. Comfortable with physical work, including lifting to 50 lbs. and working in industrial conditions (heat, noise, standing for long periods).

Preferred Skills

Forklift or man-lift certification. Strong communication and organizational skills
