Nippon Steel Corporation is Japans largest steel producer and one of the worlds largest steelmakers by volume, headquartered in Marunouchi, Chiyoda, Tokyo. Formed in its current structure through the 2012 merger with Sumitomo Metal Industries, the company manufactures a wide range of steel products including sheets, plates, pipes, tubes, and specialty steels for automotive, construction, and energy industries. Nippon Steel employs over 105,000 people and completed the acquisition of US Steel in 2025.
