Blackstone hires primarily via a highly structured on-cycle process for its Private Equity, Real Estate, Credit (BXCI/BAAM), Infrastructure and Investment Banking (M&A Advisory) groups; junior candidates almost always start with a Pymetrics game battery and a short pre-recorded video interview, then progress to first-round phone or 1-on-1 meetings and a final Superday of back-to-back interviews with analysts through MDs. Technical depth scales by group: PE and IB expect LBO paper models and deal walk-throughs, Real Estate expects cap-rate and market-driver fluency, BAAM/hedge-fund seats push on stock pitches and macro views, and data/technology roles add coding, SQL and case-style problem solving on top of the fit gauntlet.

Blackstone’s official process

Blackstone's own campus page states that full-time Analyst and Associate roles open on the Blackstone website as early as July with interviews conducted August through October; summer roles open January through March with US interviews starting in February and running through December, while European summer applications close in late November and APAC opens as early as February. Candidates who are selected are told to expect a first-round video interview with a member of the Blackstone team followed by a series of face-to-face meetings if they move forward. Cover letters are not required for campus applications, late applications are not accepted, and informational interviews are explicitly not offered.
