Goldman Sachs runs one of the most standardised funnels on Wall Street: an online application, then a recorded HireVue video interview (a handful of behavioural prompts plus one question per division applied to, with seconds to prepare and about two minutes to record), then a Superday of three to five short back-to-back interviews with VPs, MDs and team members. Front-office and corporate divisions lean heavily behavioural at Superday with technicals layered in by division (markets views and a stock pitch in S&T, accounting and valuation in IB, probability and stochastic calculus in quant/strats, credit case studies in risk). Engineering and strats candidates get an extra quantitative gate first: a timed HackerRank or on-campus test mixing coding, advanced aptitude and CS fundamentals, followed by multiple hour-long CoderPad interviews, which is the dominant pattern for the large India engineering base in Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
These 46 writeups cover investment banking, sales and trading, quantitative research and other roles. All of them were posted under a pseudonym (Reddit, GeeksforGeeks or forum handles), so we could not verify the authors’ identities.

Goldman Sachs Group’s official process
Goldman's own student pages lay out the funnel it expects candidates to follow: research the firm and register for My GS Events, submit an application (you hear back at least three times over the season), then a first interview that is a roughly 30-minute video interview, with engineering applicants additionally taking a HackerRank assessment. Candidates who clear the HireVue are invited to Superday, described as a series of final-round interviews, typically two to five for campus hires depending on division, with a cross-section of people you could end up working with.
Recorded screen that led directly to the final round with no intervening live call.
Covered · Behavioral
