C Upper Purpose of the Role: The Reporting Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, interpreting, and maintaining reporting solutions to support the Buying team in data-driven decision-making. The role involves ensuring data integrity, maintaining master data for articles and vendors, managing supplier registers, and tracking supplier compliance in line with procurement policies.
This position plays a key role in ensuring that buying, procurement, and supply chain teams have accurate, timely, and actionable insights to drive commercial and operational performance. Job Description : Design, build, and maintain reports and dashboards to track buying team KPIs such as sales performance, margin analysis, stock levels, and supplier performance.
Provide actionable insights to support purchasing decisions, promotional planning, and product assortment strategies. Automate reporting processes where possible to improve efficiency and accuracy. Maintain and update master data for articles (SKUs) and vendors in relevant systems. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company data governance standards.
Track supplier compliance with procurement policies, contracts, and ethical sourcing standards. Work closely with the Buying team, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Finance to understand reporting needs. Provide ad hoc reports and analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making. Support projects related to business intelligence, ERP enhancements, and procurement systems.
Degree – Marketing, Commerce, Accounting or Finance Min 1 year experience in retail (buying and planning) or related business field Ability to understand and quickly learn new systems and processes High level of numeracy and commercial insight (excited by the challenge of analytics). Good knowledge of Statistics is essential.
Experience working on systems (reporting, BI) Intermediate excel knowledge Project planning and execution experience to deliver assignments on time. Analytical - works through large volumes of data in order to generate evidence based, focused summaries, on which key decisions can be made. Strong investigative mind set with systems and process thinking.
Self-directed with high quality standard of output. Collaborative and service oriented in supporting the Marketing Team. Able to communicate succinctly verbally and in writing. Strong presentation skills
