QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must possess current RN License, and possess or be eligible for Maine Department of Education Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) certification. JOB DESCRIPTION: Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate, reliable Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one care for an elementary school student in a specialized school setting with complex medical needs during the school day.

The nurse will be responsible for providing direct medical care, supporting daily activities, and collaborating with school staff and the student's care team to ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide skilled nursing care during school hours for a student with complex medical needs Administer and manage tube feedings , medications, and other physician-ordered treatments Maintain detailed, accurate documentation of care provided and student health status Collaborate with school staff, parents/guardians, and medical professionals to ensure continuity of care Support student participation in classroom and educational activities as well as mobility throughout the school environment Uphold infection control and safety procedures at all times Maintain a calm, professional demeanor and positive attitude Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maine Experience with tube feedings Pediatric nursing experience preferred School nursing or one-on-one private duty experience a plus Strong communication and teamwork skills Must be dependable, organized, and flexible Ability to respond to medical emergencies in a calm, efficient manner Maine Department of Education CHRC fingerprinting Live and Work in the Biddeford, Maine Community Located along the Atlantic coastline with miles of beaches Views of the Saco River to its west Less than 20 minutes south of the Greater Portland Area It is less than two hours north of Boston.
