Structural Project Coordinator
Job description
JOB SUMMARY
Structural Project Coordinator will support the daily functions of all phases of a project within the Structural Engineering Department. JOB DUTIES: Manage and maintain schedules, appointments and assist with project deliverables. Maintain databases and project spreadsheets. Prepare and edit correspondence, communications and presentations as needed.
Assist with Request for proposals (RFPs) Assist with preparation of Project Specifications Communicate with Document Control group in reference to project documents. Maintain accurate project records. Provide administrative support to the Director and Deputy Director of Structural Engineering. Communicate with Project Management team in reference to project schedules and deliverables.
Perform miscellaneous office administration tasks. Comply with Company’s Quality Control and Project Management procedures. Promote a positive working environment to achieve the organization’s goals. Perform other duties as assigned. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed in a Vestal Corporation office. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and able to operate a computer and other office equipment.
Must be able to move about the office to access office equipment and other office buildings within the Vestal office complex. This position frequently communicates with others and must be able to exchange accurate information. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time. KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: At least 2 years of experience is required.
Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills. Requires effective time management skills, personal conduct, and change management abilities. Ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business contacts.
