Job description

We are looking for a highly responsible and detail-oriented professional to manage vault and cash operations at the branch. This role plays a key part in ensuring secure cash handling, strong internal controls, and full compliance with regulatory and operational standards, while also contributing to process improvements and team efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as primary custodian of the vault, ensuring strict adherence to dual control and access procedures
  • Manage daily cash operations, including start-of-day releases, end-of-day balancing, and safekeeping of cash, cheques, and accountable forms
  • Ensure proper execution of maker-checker controls and timely resolution of outstanding items
  • Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and records in line with retention policies
  • Monitor vault access, maintain logbooks, and ensure only authorized personnel are allowed entry
  • Conduct regular inventory, replenishment, and proper handling of accountable forms and obsolete stocks
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements (BSP, AMLC, PDIC, BIR)
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and participate in system enhancements, UAT, and business continuity activities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and escalate issues with proposed resolutions in a timely manner REQUIREMENTS AND EXPECTATIONS
  • Relevant experience in cash handling, vault management, or branch operations in banking
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, compliance, and risk management
  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and follow structured processes
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, operational environment
