Philanthropy Communications Intern

POSITION SUMMARY

The Cincinnati Art Museum has an opening for a part-time Philanthropy Communication Intern in the Philanthropy department. The internship will be in the spring of 2027 for 12 weeks from February through May and scheduled 20-25 hours per week. This internship offers a student the ability to learn about storytelling, member and donor communication, fundraising events, and marketing.

The intern will conduct video interviews, capture footage of donor and member events and edit video for fundraising and marketing purposes as well as write and build email campaigns. The intern will also utilize CAM’s email platform Word. Fly. The intern will have the opportunity to work with and learn from the museum’s Philanthropy and Marketing departments on storytelling, donor engagement, copywriting and more.

ESSENTIAL INTERNSHIP FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES Working under the direction of the Donor Information & Stewardship Manager, and overall direction of the Philanthropy department, duties include but are not limited to the following: Record and edit video and audio footage Operate camera and audio recording equipment Develop formal and informal conversation prompts and conduct interviews Write copy and build email invitations in Wordfly Assist with donor and member events as needed Collaborate with philanthropy team members and other CAM staff across departments Other duties as assigned.

INTERNSHIP MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Current student or recent graduate with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in journalism, media, marketing, communications, or a related field Self-starter with strong communication and organization skills. Comfortable communicating with diverse groups of people Creative and team-oriented Receptive to constructive feedback Proficient in video and audio editing using Capcut, Clipchamp, and equivalent apps Interest in arts administration, fundraising, journalism and media
