Career Services Advisor

Job Summary

This professional individual will be responsible for helping all qualifying students with internship/externship sites as well as job placement. The Career Services Advisor is responsible for performing any duties and tasks that will increase the productivity of the Career Services Department. Roles and Responsibilities Meet with current students of the institution as required Counsel and guide students through the Career Services process Interface with employer network and coordinate the student placement process Proactively identify and contact new employer partners to expand job opportunities for graduates.

Achieve and exceed ambitious placement and outreach goals, consistently meeting high performance metrics through results-driven initiatives. Perform administrative duties required to fulfill the position's requirements Support students by helping with resume building, mock interviews, and overall professional development Assist with internship/externship sites and visits Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies Manage and execute a high volume of administrative tasks essential to meeting position requirements Communicates regarding any concerns addressed to the Director of Career Services, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature Experience Experience and interest in internal and external communications, partnership development, and fundraising Previous customer service experience (minimum 2 years) Previous administrative experience (minimum 2 years) Management: 2 years is a plus Skills and Qualifications Ability to work effectively with diverse populations Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Sales experience preferred Cold-calling techniques preferred Presentation/public speaking experience preferred Professional coach/mentorship experience preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) License/Certification N/A Education PREFERRED Undergraduate, Associate Job Type Full Time Schedule M: 9 am – 6 pm T: 9 am – 6 pm W: 9 am – 6 pm Th: 9 am – 6 pm F: 8 am – 5 pm S: Off Sun: Off Salary $48,000 Annually Company Benefits (Work status may affect eligibility for some benefits) Health Insurance Paid Time Off Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Disability Insurance 401k 401k Matching Employee Discount Professional Development Assistance Referral Program Retirement Plan On-Site Leadership Training CPR Certification Available to All Employees Most Federal Holidays Off – Paid, Full Time Only Continuing Education Opportunities External Higher Education Tuition Discounts Access to Free Massages through The Spa at Northwest Mental Health Reimbursement Program Work Location Las Vegas, NV Company Accolades Best of Las Vegas Inc.
