Resident Companion

River. Mead Health Center is seeking a dependable and compassionate Per Diem Resident Companion to accompany residents to off-site medical appointments. This role is ideal for individuals who are attentive, organized, and committed to providing respectful, supportive assistance while ensuring residents’ comfort and safety during outings.

Key Responsibilities

Provide companionship to River. Mead Health Center residents during off-site appointments as assigned by the Health Center Administrator or designee Escort residents using the River. Mead van or other transportation arranged by River. Mead, the resident, or the resident’s family Assist residents with outer garments (e.

g., coats, hats) and provide general non-medical support as needed Assume responsibility for the receipt, transport, and delivery of required forms and records Adhere to established wheelchair safety and/or non-lift protocols and training Communicate and relay all pertinent information from appointments to the Health Center nursing staff in a timely manner Qualifications CPR certification required Ability to remain calm and composed in dynamic or unexpected situations Strong interpersonal and communication skills Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented Ability to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality
