Job Description 🩺 Medical Assistant – Endocrinology 📍 Mission Farms Location Join Saint Luke's Endocrinology at our Mission Farms clinic and play a vital role in helping patients manage diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, adrenal disorders, and other endocrine conditions. This position combines hands-on patient care, care coordination, and administrative support in a collaborative specialty practice.

What You'll Do

✅ Patient Care Perform pre-visit planning to help ensure efficient and effective patient visits Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information Review medications, allergies, and health information for accuracy Administer injections and coordinate vaccines Perform phlebotomy as needed Assist providers with procedures when needed Conduct telephone screening using established protocols Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional and compassionate demeanor ✅ Endocrinology Support Support patients managing chronic endocrine conditions including diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, adrenal disorders, and other hormonal conditions Assist with patient education and follow-up care coordination Communicate provider instructions regarding medications, laboratory testing, and follow-up appointments Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, prescription refills, and prior authorizations ✅ Administrative Responsibilities Utilize the EMR system for documentation and patient care coordination Scan and upload documents into the electronic medical record Manage prescription refill requests and prior authorizations Schedule appointments, testing, and follow-up visits Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Provide front office coverage as needed Perform additional duties based on clinic needs Why You'll Love This Opportunity 💙 Convenient Mission Farms location 💙 Collaborative team environment with providers and nursing staff 💙 Opportunity to develop specialty endocrinology expertise 💙 Meaningful patient relationships and long-term continuity of care 💙 Blend of clinical and administrative responsibilities If you're a compassionate, detail-oriented Medical Assistant who enjoys helping patients achieve their health goals while working in a supportive specialty practice, we'd love to hear from you!
