Mercedes-Benz of Birmingham - Parts Driver

Purpose of Position: Shipping and Receiving Parts employee will be responsible for checking in and delivering parts daily. They will be tasked with learning all aspects of the shipping and receiving business. Must be able to do the job at your absolute best, and strive for greatness.

Qualifications

The ability to work with all members of the Parts team to acquire merchandise, sell and deliver the best parts experience possible. The passion to provide excellent customer service to all parts customers. (Retail, wholesale, shop counter) Must be able to lift tires and windshields overhead without damaging product. Establish a magnificent work environment for all personnel around you.

High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be able to pass a drug screen and MVR report. Skills: XPPI (parts catalog) Paragon Netstar Tekion VMI Learning Link Duties and Responsibilities: Receive incoming parts from Mercedes-Benz, Auto Glass, FedEx, UPS, Dealer Tire, etc. Ship parts to customer when the task arises. Handle minor tasks that can be taken care of without the parts managers approval as needed.

Make sure fast-moving parts are stocked daily

• Oil filters, Cabin filters, Air filters, Brake fluid, Washer fluid All warranty parts are checked in and labeled daily. Stock all incoming parts daily. Ship all body orders that are to be delivered daily. Check in and label core parts daily. Sweep shipping and receiving area daily. Perform perpetual bin counts quarterly. Dust Parts Bins quarterly. Must be able lift tires and windshields overhead and carry up a flight of stairs. Send core, warranty and out of stock returns to Mercedes-Benz weekly. Take trash and cardboard out daily. Drive between our Irondale and Hoover locations daily to run parts when asked. Grow and learn each day with the Mercedes-Benz Brand and the Parts Department. Uphold a standard of excellence and provide it to technicians and service advisors daily. Assist all customers and vendors who pick up or drop off parts in the parts receiving area. Abide and follow the Mercedes Benz of Birmingham Mission Statement, Mantra, Commitment to Culture, and Quiver of Arrows. Mon-Fri 7:00am to 4:00pm
