Telehandler Operator

Duties and responsibilities

Operate the telehandler and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner Perform daily maintenance, cleaning and safety checks of equipment Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, and clean, lubricate and refill equipment as necessary Duties are to facilitate safe, efficient, accurate, and timely receiving, staging, and loading of structural building components.

Operate the equipment smoothly, safely and with attachments (if applicable). Operate other heavy equipment and perform other general construction labour related duties as required. Assist other trades around site as needed Perform other related general labour duties as needed Qualifications Minimum 1-year experience A strong sense of health and safety on site Excellent hand, eye and foot coordination Have a sense of urgency to meet deadlines Valid Telehandler Ticket Valid Driver’s License is an asset Demonstrates a great attitude towards their work and team Working conditions Safety Sensitive Work outdoors on construction sites Work closely with other equipment operators and ground crew Personal protection equipment as required Physical requirements Must be able to lift min 25lbs.
