• Allentown, PA, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Qualifications: Position Type: Part-Time Department: Restaurant Operations Reports To: General Manager / Restaurant Owner Position Overview We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Part-Time Restaurant Supervisor to help oversee daily restaurant operations while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate has experience in both food service and bartending and is comfortable leading a team, assisting with serving tables, preparing and serving beverages, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations. This position requires a hands-on leader who can step in wherever needed, maintain high service standards, and create a welcoming experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities

Restaurant Supervision & Operations Oversee daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts. Supervise, support, and motivate servers, bartenders, and other staff. Ensure employees follow service standards, policies, and procedures. Assist with opening and closing duties, including cash handling and side work. Help manage workflow, staff breaks, and shift priorities.

Address customer concerns and resolve service issues professionally. Food Service & Guest Experience Greet guests, take orders, and serve food and beverages as needed. Ensure orders are accurate, timely, and presented properly. Assist servers during busy periods and provide support throughout the dining room. Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas and service stations.

Ensure food safety, sanitation, and proper handling procedures are followed. Bartending & Beverage Service Prepare and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. Mix cocktails according to established recipes and standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar. Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to management.

Follow responsible alcohol service practices and verify identification when required. Handle bar tabs, payments, and cash transactions accurately. Teamwork & Communication Lead by example by maintaining a positive, professional attitude. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, bartenders, and management. Assist with training new employees on service procedures and expectations.

Report staffing concerns, customer feedback, and operational issues to management.

Qualifications

Previous restaurant experience in a supervisory, serving, or bartending role. Must have experience serving food and bartending. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to lead a team while remaining hands-on during busy shifts. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service. Basic cash handling, POS system, and payment processing skills.

Ability to multitask, solve problems, and work in a fast-paced environment. Must be reliable, punctual, organized, and professional. Must meet applicable minimum-age and alcohol-service requirements. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry restaurant supplies, trays, and beverage stock as needed.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond quickly to operational needs. Schedule & Compensation Part-time position with flexible scheduling based on restaurant needs. Must be available for assigned shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
