Job Summary

As a Scalehouse Operator, you will serve as the first point of contact for customers visiting our facility. You will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring accurate transactions, maintaining compliance with safety standards, and supporting daily facility operations.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome customers, contractors, and visitors with a professional and positive attitude. Direct traffic safely throughout the facility and provide accurate information regarding disposal procedures and site operations. Process customer transactions, calculate charges, and collect payments accurately. Inspect incoming loads to verify compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Monitor site activities and help maintain a safe environment for customers, drivers, and team members. Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the scale house and surrounding work area. Complete daily administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, reports, and transaction documentation.

Communicate operational issues, safety concerns, or customer matters promptly to management. Participate in company training programs, safety meetings, and team development initiatives. Support facility operations with additional duties as assigned.

Strong customer service and communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling transactions and records. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism. Basic computer and data entry proficiency. Commitment to safety and compliance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Flexible schedule with willingness to work overtime when needed.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent. Working Conditions: Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 7am – 4pm This position operates in both office and outdoor environments and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, noise, odors, and moving equipment. Candidates must be able to: Use computers and office equipment for extended periods throughout the workday.

Perform repetitive hand and finger movements, including keyboarding and data entry. Occasionally lift, carry, or move items weighing up to 30 pounds. Work safely around heavy equipment, vehicle traffic, and industrial operations. Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
