General Counsel - iGaming

A relatively young i. Gaming company with both operational brands and a platform is looking for a General Counsel to join their small Legal team as the most Senior in-house Lawyer. Currently around 50 members of staff, the Company is now entering a phase of growing and scaling. The role spans cross the full spectrum of Legal: commercial & employment agreements, corporate governance, data protection, new markets and regulatory matters for various jurisdictions.

Role & Responsibilities Take ownership and a Team Lead function for the Legal Team Draft, review and negotiate various commercial agreements Provide clear and practical legal advice to management on all legal matters, including corporate governance, board matters, company structures and internal policies Support partnerships, investments, corporate transactions and the legal aspects of entering new markets Advise on jurisdictional regulatory requirements (the company holds several licenses) Work closely with the Head of Compliance, providing the legal perspective on AML, RG and other relevant queries Take ownership of data protection and GDPR matters Manage intellectual property matters across our brands, domains and commercial agreements Education, Skills & Experience Business Lawyer with a law degree from Sweden or Finland Strong experience of working within i.

Gaming, with a practical experience of working with the SGA and other European jurisdictions You’re a native Swedish or Finnish speaker Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements Commercially minded Work and personal ethics beyond reproach Comfortable working closely with and guiding the management team Hands-on and able to deliver on time, with top marks for accuracy About this role Salary around the €100K mark (negotiable) + bonus Based in Sliema, Malta (not negotiable) Able to travel between Sliema & Stockholm frequently Office-first, hybrid flexibility Wellness allowance and private health care Regular social events and team activities Kindly apply with your detailed CV in English.
