Description Westminster, MD $20.07/hour | Evening Schedule throughout the week, some daytime hours available The Arc Carroll County is hiring compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide one-on-one personal supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Schedule: Urgently hiring for Thursday evenings 3:00PM-8:00PM Other available shifts- Monday-Friday evenings with a 2:00 or 3:00 PM start time - 7:00/8:00PM Limited Day time hours are available: Monday-Friday Limited Weekend hours What You’ll Do: Provide one-on-one community-based or in-home support Provide transportation and support community access Create and implement innovative, fun, and meaningful activities tailored to each individual’s interests, goals, and abilities Support individuals individually and independently, encouraging choice, creativity, and self-direction through social, recreational, and educational activities Encourage independence and decision-making Assist with personal care and mobility as needed Document services and progress in i.

S. driver’s license that has never been suspended or revoked Ability to pass background, drug, and driving record checks Basic computer and keyboarding skills Ability to complete required training courses, including CPR, First Aid, Med Tech Certification, and other DDA-mandated training Ability to lift and manipulate up to 50 lbs frequently and assist with transfers Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pulling, and pushing Ability to assist with wheelchair handling, transfers, and securing individuals safely in vehicles
