Job Summary

The Inventory Control Specialist oversees receiving, inspection, storage, movement, and disposition of inventory and non-inventory materials, including raw materials, purchased components, and outsourced materials. The role maintains accurate ERP/MRP records, inventory counts, and material transactions to support production and customer deliveries.

Education and Experience

Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field Experience as an Inventory Specialist Duties/Responsibilities: Maintain accurate ERP/MRP records for receiving, inventory transactions, and material disposition. Coordinate shipping, receiving, inspection, storage, and movement of materials and equipment.

Manage inventory quality holds and address aging inventory concerns. Organize daily workloads and material handling throughout the facility. Investigate inventory discrepancies, reconcile adjustments, and explain variances. Perform frequent cycle counts, record audits, and annual physical inventory counts. Maintain inventory levels to meet customer delivery timelines.

Establish procedures for year-end physical inventory and valuation. Recommend improvements based on audits and reduce losses from damage or mishandling. Perform other duties as assigned; this position has no supervisory responsibilities. Required Skills/Abilities: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; ability to learn new systems and software.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause investigation skills. Clear verbal and written communication; ability to read, write, and speak English. Strong organization, follow-up, prioritization, and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, changing environment. Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and identify process improvements.

Physical Requirements: Regularly talks or hears; uses hands and arms for handling, reaching, and keyboarding. Frequently stands, walks, stoops, kneels, and crouches; performs typical office activities. Uses close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision and adjusts focus. Works in warehouse and office settings; may encounter heat, cold, airborne particles, and noise.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week; additional hours may be required as workload increases.
