Job Title: Batch Coating Operator Department: Production

• Batch FLSA Status Hourly Reports To: Production Supervisor Location: Bowling Green, Florida About Florikan Florikan ESA LLC, is an award winning family owned agri-tech business headquartered in Sarasota, FL, with production operations in Bowling Green, FL. Florikan is dedicated to evolving plant nutrition through advanced fertilizer technologies by manufacturing, blending, and distributing controlled release fertilizer. Florikan serves the major markets of professional ornamental horticulture, landscape & turf, and specialty agriculture in North America and select export markets.

Job Summary

The Batch Coating Operator is a crucial role for our company. They are responsible for maintaining the input of materials that go into the makeup of our products. They ensure that the highly specialized machinery designed to mix our materials is generating proper output and has a proper outward visual appearance to guests.

They also assist materials in an effortless flow from beginning to end, adding value at every step of the process.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience operating a forklift or skidsteer Duties/Responsibilities:
• Reading and understanding all paperwork relating to the creation of our products
• Replacing needed materials in a timely manner that contribute to the makeup of our products
• Communicating instructions to the coating team on how to build our products
• Receiving and implementing direction of supervisors
• Co-ordinating movement of items through the coating department
• Reaching out to supervisors before problems occur
• Performing brief inspections of machinery and reporting findings to the maintenance department
• Regularly assigned housekeeping duties within the department and occasionally in other departments
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Required Skills/Abilities:

• Walking and Standing for long periods of time
• Lifting materials 50#’s or less
• Ability to Work In a Non-Climate Controlled Warehouse Environment For a Full 12 Hours
