Surveillance Operator

Surveillance Operator Department: Surveillance Location: Barona Casino Salary/Wage: DOE Status: Non-Exempt Hours: Full Time 10pm to 6am Relevant Experience Or Requirements: Able to sit for long periods of time in a climate controlled, dimly lit/dark atmosphere. Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, including being able to type reports, while effectively communicating through phones and two-way radios, and actively monitoring cameras and surveillance related equipment.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Able to read small characters on computer/video monitors in dimly lit conditions. Working experience with surveillance/CCTV equipment and controls. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong skills in the use of Microsoft Windows and Office programs.

Basic knowledge of slot machines, casino card games, including but not limited to, blackjack, craps, roulette, baccarat and poker style games preferred. Investigation and Loss prevention experience desired. Math and analytical skills are a plus. Closing Date: Open until filled Education Level: High School Diploma or GED required.

General Summary: This position is under the general direction of the Barona Gaming Commission and reports directly to the Surveillance Supervisor. The position assures operational and departmental compliance to all relevant Minimum Internal Control Standards and requires the operation of surveillance equipment for the purpose of safeguarding the assets of the Barona Tribe, and for the safety and protection of guests and staff.
