Position Overview

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our financial administration team. This role reports directly to the Senior Financial Analyst and will focus on data-driven receivables management, cost analysis, and insurance/clawback recovery. This is a fast-paced role that requires strong attention to detail, an analytical mindset, and the ability to thrive in the dynamic environment of logistics and transportation.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and track accounts receivable and payable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness within the factoring company portal. Review load data for inaccuracies as needed across the TMS system and factoring platform. Investigate and recover claw backs, insurance claims, and disputed payments. Analyze load-level profitability, identifying discrepancies and supporting collections on overpayments or incorrectly paid carriers and factoring companies.

Build and maintain data reports to track receivables, costs, and asset-related expenses. Collaborate with carriers, customers, and internal teams to resolve payment disputes and confirm receivable balances. Provide financial data analysis to support leadership decisions and operational cost control. Assist the Senior Financial Analyst with large-scale data projects and reporting.

Support continuous improvement in financial administration workflows and SOPs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience). 2+ years’ experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or financial operations. Strong experience in data analysis tools (Excel required) Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics/transportation environment.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills for handling payment disputes. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities.

Preferred Skills

Prior experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain finance. Experience in insurance claims and freight payment recovery. Ability to design and interpret dashboards, KPI reports, and cost models.
