Overview

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all QA activities across projects to ensure high product quality, operational consistency, and timely delivery. This role ensures that all projects maintain comprehensive and timely test plans, that tasks are accurately updated after testing, and that roadmap items are fully supported by proper test cases and validation plans.

The QA Manager drives automation reliability, regression maintenance, and cross-functional quality alignment while mentoring and developing QA team members. The role also includes people management and HR-related responsibilities to ensure team stability, growth, and operational continuity. This role requires full-time on-site presence.

Responsibilities

Develop and enforce QA policies, standards, and procedures Own QA planning and scope definition for release cycles, including risk assessments and traceability Ensure all projects have timely and complete test plans (functional, regression, automation) Confirm all roadmap tasks include proper test cases and validation steps Track and update all tasks promptly after testing to reflect accurate outcomes Oversee resolution of failed tasks, including root cause analysis and patch validation Detect technical errors and identify their causes Maintain and update regression test cases Ensure automation tests are reliable, properly reviewed, and maintained within CI environments Partner with Product, Development, and Operations teams to integrate QA early in the development lifecycle Prepare regular QA reports (daily, weekly, monthly) and align closely with the Software Engineering Manager Provide onboarding, training, and mentorship to QA team members across projects Ensure each project develops independent QA capability (at least one to two fully independent QAs per project) Conduct structured performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback Manage PTO approvals, redundancy planning, and team coverage Handle HR-related responsibilities, including disciplinary actions and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement Requirements Fluency in written and spoken English (mandatory) Minimum 5 years of cumulative software testing experience At least 2 years in a QA leadership or management role Proven experience writing detailed test cases Hands-on experience in mobile testing Strong experience with automated testing and automation frameworks Experience creating and maintaining automated tests in a continuous integration (CI) environment (required) Advantage: Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) Expertise in supporting, troubleshooting, and configuring SaaS products Excellent communication skills with the ability to align QA goals across technical and non-technical stakeholders Demonstrated leadership experience mentoring and growing technical QA teams
