Job Description: Category Procurement Manager – Personal Care & Home Care Company: Chemist Box Private Limited Position: Category Procurement Manager – Personal Care & Home Care Location: Patna, Bihar About Chemist Box Private Limited Chemist Box Private Limited is a growing multi-outlet retail pharmacy chain based in Bihar, currently operating around 20-24 physical stores with a strong expansion plan.
Role Summary
The Category Procurement Manager will be responsible for the procurement of Personal Care and Home Care products for Chemist Box private label. This is a procurement-focused role and does not include responsibility for sales, merchandising, marketing, or store-level category execution.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, evaluate, and finalize suitable vendors / manufacturers for Personal Care and Home Care products. Negotiate with vendors on pricing, credit terms, delivery timelines, MOQ, packaging, and other procurement terms. Compare vendor quotations, product samples, competitor products, packaging quality, and market pricing before making procurement decisions.
Introduce new products and improve the existing product mix based on customer demand, market gaps, competitor offerings, and business requirements.
Requirements
Qualification & Experience Graduate and above in any stream. The candidate should have 3 years and above experience as a Category Manager, Procurement Manager, Buyer, Sourcing Manager, or in a next-to-category-manager role, specifically in Personal Care and Home Care products. Experience in pharma or pharma private label is not required for this role.
