The About Our client is a highly specialised independent advisory firm supporting the mining and resources sector with technical due diligence and mineral asset valuation services. Working alongside experienced valuation professionals, mining engineers, geologists and financial specialists, the team provides independent and defensible advice to investors, lenders and mining companies across exploration, development and operating assets.
The primary role is to support the assessment and valuation of mineral assets by analysing geological, mining, metallurgical, operational and economic data, and translating complex technical information into robust reports and valuation inputs. The Opportunity This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of mining and resource projects across exploration, development and producing operations.
You will play a key role in evaluating project fundamentals, identifying value drivers and risks, and contributing to technical advisory and valuation reports used by industry stakeholders and investors. Working closely with multidisciplinary specialists, you will gain exposure to high-level technical assessments, mineral asset valuations and independent advisory work across the global resources sector.
The Tasks Ahead: Undertake technical due diligence on mineral projects, reviewing geology, Mineral Resources, Ore Reserves, mine planning, metallurgy, infrastructure, environmental constraints and operating performance. Assess the quality, completeness and reliability of technical data provided by clients, public disclosures and third-party reports.
Develop, test and validate technical assumptions used in mineral asset valuations. Identify key technical risks, uncertainties and value drivers affecting project performance and asset value. Support valuation models by ensuring technical inputs are accurate, internally consistent and aligned with project evidence. Review Mineral Resource and Ore Reserve statements and understand the implications of classification and modifying factors on valuation outcomes.
Contribute to independent technical reports, valuation reports, due diligence reviews and advisory deliverables. Participate in site visits and inspections where required to verify project conditions. Liaise with geologists, mining engineers, metallurgists, environmental specialists and financial analysts to deliver integrated advice.
Present technical findings clearly in reports and supporting documentation while maintaining well-organised working papers and data sets.
About You
You are a technically capable and commercially aware mining professional who enjoys analysing complex project information and translating it into practical insights. You are curious, evidence-driven and comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams to deliver independent, well-supported technical opinions.You thrive in environments where critical thinking, attention to detail and professional judgement are essential, and you enjoy contributing to projects that influence investment and development decisions in the resources sector.

Key Requirements Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Metallurgy, Mineral Economics or a related discipline. Experience within mining, geological consulting, project evaluation, technical due diligence or mineral asset valuation.
Sound understanding of Mineral Resource and Ore Reserve reporting frameworks and their application to asset assessment. Experience reviewing technical studies, operating data and project development assumptions. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex technical information. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical matters clearly.
Proficiency in spreadsheet analysis, technical report review and data interpretation. Site-based mining experience or operational exposure will be highly regarded. Exposure to financial modelling or valuation support in a mining or natural resources environment is advantageous.
