Requirements

/ Qualifications Experience:

• Two years of experience in quantity baking, cooking, salad preparation, and food service facility maintenance in a commercial, institutional or school food service facility.
• Responsible for maintaining annual job specific education/training that complies with the USDA mandated School Nutrition Professional Standards, Four Key Areas: Nutrition, Operations, Administration, and Communication/Marketing
• Coursework and training in Foodservice Sanitation, HACCP, Safety and Emergency Response, and Supervision Management techniques
• Food Safety Manager Certificate, or equivalent, approved by the state of California
• Complete the annual required hours for the USDA Professional Standards
• Valid California Classic Requirements driver’s license
• DMV Printout within the last 3 months
• Insurability by the District's liability employment insurance carrier
• Insurability by the District's liability employment insurance carrier Education:
• Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade

The District employs approximately 1,075 teachers, administrators and support staff. We have 13 schools which operate on a traditional school year schedule.
