Job Summary

The AM Kitchen Utility/Receiver ensures the seamless operation of the back-of-house team. This hybrid role splits focus between receiving daily inventory shipments and executing high-standard sanitation duties. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically resilient, and committed to maintaining a safe, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment.

Core Responsibilities Receiving & Inventory: Inspect all incoming shipments for quality, weight, temperature, and order accuracy against invoices. Stocking & Rotation: Transport goods to storage and unpack deliveries using the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method. Sanitation Maintenance: Sweep, mop, and sanitize kitchen floors, walk-in coolers, freezers, and dry storage areas.

Dishwashing & Ware Care: Wash, sanitize, and properly store pots, pans, utensils, and service ware. Waste Management: Empty kitchen trash, recycling, and compost containers into designated exterior dumpsters. Equipment Cleaning: Wash down worktables, walls, meat blocks, and heavy kitchen machinery.

Qualifications

& Skills Experience: Previous warehouse receiving or commercial kitchen utility experience preferred. Certifications: Valid Food Handler’s Card (e.g., Serv. Safe) or willingness to obtain it within 30 days. Technical Skill: Ability to read delivery invoices, log food temperatures, and safely handle cleaning chemicals.

Attributes: Strong communication skills, punctuality, and a collaborative team mindset. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Ability to stand and walk for extended shifts up to 8 hours. Capacity to safely lift, push, and carry up to 50 pounds frequently. Comfort working in fast-paced environments with frequent exposure to wet dish rooms, hot line areas, and sub-zero walk-in freezers.
