Sales Representative

THE OPPORTUNITY An established chemical manufacturer based in Cornubia, Durban, is looking to appoint a results-driven Sales Representative to grow the market for its range of household and automotive products. This is an external sales role for a confident, self-motivated person who enjoys being in front of customers, opening new doors and closing deals.

The appointment is on a 3-month contract, with the possibility of permanent employment for the right candidate. Earnings are dependent on experience, so this suits a seasoned sales professional from the FMCG, household products or automotive sectors who is ready to make an immediate impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promote and sell the company’s household and automotive product range
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
• Identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities
• Meet and exceed agreed sales targets Requirements MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years’ proven sales experience (essential)
• External sales experience
• Sales experience within FMCG, household products or the automotive industry is strongly preferred ADVANTAGEOUS
• A valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently
