House Keeper

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, presentation, and overall guest comfort throughout the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

1. Room & Facility Cleaning Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, public areas, and other assigned spaces. Ensure guest rooms are properly arranged, cleaned, and prepared according to hotel standards. Change bed linens, towels, and other room supplies as required. Dust, vacuum, mop, sanitize, and thoroughly clean assigned areas. Report maintenance issues, damages, or faulty equipment promptly.
2. Guest Comfort & Service Ensure guest rooms are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation. Respond professionally to guest requests relating to housekeeping. Handle guest belongings and personal items with care and confidentiality. Report lost and found items in line with hotel procedures. Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with guests.
3. Linen & Laundry Management Manage the collection, sorting, storage, and distribution of linen and towels. Ensure clean linen is properly stored and readily available. Monitor linen usage and report shortages or damaged items. Assist with laundry duties where required.
4. Cleaning Supplies & Inventory Monitor housekeeping supplies, toiletries, cleaning materials, and equipment. Ensure supplies are used appropriately and minimize unnecessary wastage. Report shortages and request replenishment when necessary. Maintain housekeeping equipment in good working condition.
5. Standards & Safety Follow established hotel housekeeping procedures and cleaning standards. Maintain proper hygiene and sanitation practices. Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely. Follow health and safety procedures always. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment.
6. Teamwork & Reporting Work effectively with other housekeeping team members and hotel departments. Coordinate with the Front Office regarding room status and guest requirements. Report completed rooms, outstanding tasks, damages, and other relevant issues to the supervisor. Support the housekeeping supervisor in maintaining daily operational standards.

Requirements

Minimum of 4–5 years of relevant housekeeping experience, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment. Previous experience in guest room and hotel facility cleaning. Good knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and hygiene standards. Ability to use housekeeping equipment and cleaning products appropriately.

Good attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards. Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work as part of a team. Physically capable of performing housekeeping duties for extended periods. Professional, reliable, disciplined, and guest-focused.
