CAPTAIN | Oyster 595 based in Montenegro

This is a remote position. Captain | Montenegro STARTING OCTOBER we are looking for an experienced Captain to join a privately owned Oyster based in Montenegro. Whilst initially joining as a solo Captain, this position is ideally suited to someone seeking a long-term opportunity as part of a Captain/Chef couple team. The yacht's future plans include building a permanent couple team ahead of participation in the Oyster World Rally 2028.

This role also presents a unique opportunity for the right candidate to continue with the yacht beyond the winter season. The yacht is already signed up to the Oyster World Rally 2028 and plans are in place to hire a Captain/Chef couple team in Spring 2027. This could be an ideal opportunity for a Captain looking to transition into a longer-term role with their chef partner.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the yacht during the winter period, managing maintenance works and ensuring the vessel is fully prepared and well looked after ahead of the next season. The owner will visit from time to time during the winter period.

Requirements

Yachtmaster Offshore minimum Comfortable taking sole responsibility for the yacht during the winter period and working independently Self-motivated, proactive, and confident managing day-to-day operations without additional crew onboard Previous sailing yacht command experience Strong technical and maintenance knowledge Valid STCW and ENG1
