PRIVATE/CHARTER | Couple team to run Oyster 495 Caribbean/Med

Starting December 2026, we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Captain and Deck/Cook team to join an Oyster 495 for a long-term opportunity for the Caribbean season and beyond. The yacht will be cruising dual seasons in the Caribbean and Mediterranean, undertaking a mixture of private cruising and charter activity.

The owners are passionate sailors who enjoy being actively involved onboard and are looking for crew who are equally personable, professional, and happy to work as part of a close-knit team. This is an excellent opportunity for a crew couple looking to establish a longer-term position onboard. The owners value a collaborative approach and are seeking crew who can create an enjoyable, relaxed atmosphere while maintaining high standards of safety, seamanship, hospitality, and yacht presentation.

The ideal Captain will bring strong sailing experience, excellent leadership skills, and confidence managing both owner trips and charter operations. The Deck/Cook will be responsible for preparing fresh, healthy meals, maintaining the deck and exterior areas, assisting with guest service, and contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the yacht.

Requirements

Minimum Yachtmaster Offshore Strong sailing and passage-making experience Previous charter experience preferred Professional, organised, and guest-focused approach Deck/Cook Previous sailing experience Confident cook with the ability to cater for owners and charter guests Experience in guest service and yacht housekeeping preferred Strong deck maintenance skills and willingness to assist in all areas onboard Both Crew Valid STCW certification ENG1 medical certificate Positive, team-orientated attitude Previous charter experience preferred Available from December 2026 This role offers the opportunity to join a welcoming ownership programme and enjoy an exciting Caribbean season, with the potential for a long-term position for the right team.
