Accounting Generalist

Eden Valley Poultry Inc . is seeking an Accounting Generalist to join our team. You will be reporting to the Senior Accountant. As an Accounting Generalist, you will be responsible for administrative duties to support the purchasing and accounting departments. As a processor of chicken and turkey for our Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island farmers, Eden Valley Poultry is unique in the industry.

Responsibilities

Create and issue purchase orders to vendors. Communicate with vendors regarding orders and deliveries. Track order confirmations, pricing, and delivery timelines. Follow up on outstanding purchase orders. Investigate and resolve open or overdue purchase orders. Create and maintain item numbers in the system. Collaborate with purchasing and receiving teams.

Provide reception backup, including visitor support and payment processing. Assist with customer portals and accounts receivable activities Maintain filing systems and perform general administrative duties. Provide backup support for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions Follow company policies and support health, safety, quality, and food safety standards.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, purchasing, administration, or a related field. Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline is an asset Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Professional and team-oriented with the ability to work independently. Office-based role requiring regular computer use and occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. Overtime may be required to support business needs. Qualified applicants may apply via our website at www.
