BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. High School diploma required, some college preferred.
2. Must have good interviewing, writing and communication skills.
3. Must possess the ability to work with people from all socio economic backgrounds.
4. Must have practical knowledge of personal computer programs.
5. Must possess good organizational and time management skills.
6. Must be available to work the hours assigned by the supervisor. EXAMPLES OF JOB DUTIES:
7. Work with the Pre-Trial Services Supervisor to carry out the goals of the program.
8. Interview and assess defendants to determine their eligibility for court-appointed counsel.
9. Work with the jail system, attorneys, and the courts to ensure the appointment process is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
10. Provide the courts with information and documentation related to the appointment process in a timely and efficient manner.
11. Maintain accurate and concise records related to the appointment process.
12. Maintain the computer system related to appointments to ensure a fair system and maintain written documentation related to attorneys assigned to the appointment wheel.
13. Attend court, as needed, for the appointment of counsel .
14. Supervise a caseload of defendants placed under PTS Supervision, maintain accurate case files, make monthly contacts, enforce conditions of PTS programs, collect program fees, make field contacts and provide information to the courts on matters concerning pretrial release.
15. Perform drug testing as needed.
16. Participate in Court hearings/dockets .
17. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director or Supervisor. Salary: $37,500.00
