Learning Support Specialist (Elementary Resource Room)

Elementary Resource Room Teacher | Special Education Help Students Build Skills, Confidence, and Academic Independence Clarifi Staffing Solutions is seeking a motivated Special Education Teacher to support elementary students in a resource room setting in Illinois. This opportunity is well suited for an educator who enjoys finding creative ways to address learning challenges, strengthen academic skills, and help students make meaningful progress throughout the school year.

What You’ll Do You’ll deliver individualized and small-group instruction to students in grades 3–5, using tailored teaching strategies and adapted materials to address diverse learning needs and Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. By monitoring student performance and adjusting instruction as needed, you’ll help learners strengthen their understanding, develop effective learning strategies, and work toward greater independence.

You’ll also partner with general education teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and families to promote consistency across learning environments.

Responsibilities include

documenting student progress, maintaining accurate educational records, contributing to IEP development and meetings, and sharing updates with the school team to guide ongoing support. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution. Previous school-based special education experience preferred. Strong instructional, organizational, communication, and classroom-management skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and related service professionals. Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate special education endorsement, including Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) credentials applicable to the students served.
