Compensation

Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Status : Per Diem Shift: VARIED SHIFT Department: Cat Scan Position Summary Summary: The CT/MRI Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the scheduling & proper flow & care in all areas of the Radiology Dept. including MRI, C.T. Scanning, Ultrasound, Diagnostic Radiology & the Long Beach facility. The supervisor will perform certain technologist functions on an as needed basis as per their competencies.

Qualifications

Education

Required

• Must complete in-house orientation program
• Graduate of an accredited radiology technology school Experience And Skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Speaks, reads and writes English
• 3 years experience as a radiological technologist with a bachelor’s degree preferred; or 1 year experience as a lead tech or supervisor
• Must have basic computer skills and be familiar with PACS and RIS etc.
• Demonstrates leadership potentials, ability to troubleshoot and problem solving License/Certifications
• Current N.Y.S. License in Radiologic Technology required
• A.R.R.T. Certification in CT scan and/or M.R.I. preferred.
• Current certification with injection from NYS Dept. of Health
• Current AHA BLS certification Working Conditions Other information: Working Conditions
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn
• Standing for sustained periods of time
• Pushing and pulling objects
• Heavy work consisting of exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/ or in excess of 50 lbs. of force frequently &/or 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects
• Sitting in front of a computer for long periods of time
• The ability to travel to multiple locations e.g. Long Beach, RALI etc.
