Compensation

Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Status : Per Diem Shift: DAY SHIFT Department: Cardiac Rehabilitation Position Summary Summary: Works to limit the physiological and psychological effects of cardiac/pulmonary illness by provision of a safe, therapeutic, high quality program of exercise and education in an efficient, cost-effective manner. Actively promote primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular/pulmonary disease in patient population and community by education and example.

Qualifications

Education

Required

• Must complete in-house orientation program
• Successful completion of Registered Nurse Program. BS/BA preferred. Experience And Skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Speaks, reads and writes English
• 2 years as registered nurse with experience in CCU, ICU, ER and/or telemetry unit.
• Basic knowledge of nutrition, risk factor modification strategies, counseling techniques, use and development of educational programs and materials.
• Evidence of arrhythmia recognition skills. License/Certifications •Current and valid New York State registration authorizing practice as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN)
• BLS
• ACLS Working Conditions Other information: Working Conditions
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn
• Mechanical exercise equipment.
• Frequent standing/walking.
• Sitting in front of a computer for long periods of time.
• Must be able to respond in an expedient manner to patients codes in department.
• Able to assist patients on and off exercise equipment.
