• High school diploma or the equivalent, AND
• Two years of college (48 units), OR
• A.A. degree (or higher), OR
• Pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction. DESCRIPTION OF BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES: To assist a Teacher in the instruction, supervision, and training of individual or groups of students by performing a variety of instructional support activities related to an effective learning environment. Written exam will be waived IF applicant has two years of college (minimum of 48 units), or holds an AA degree or higher. A copy of your degree MUST be attached to your online application in order to have the test waived. If you have passed the Instructional Assistant test for this position within the past two years, you will need to contact Personnel to verify that you will not need to retest again, or you may be disqualified from this posting.
