Parts Shipping Supervisor

Job Title: Parts Shipping Supervisor Department: Parts Reports To: Parts Manager Job Type: Full-Time | Onsite | Salaried Exempt Location: Rock Hill, SC 29730 Position Summary The Parts Shipping Supervisor oversees daily shipping operations within the Parts Department, ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient processing of outgoing parts orders.

This role is responsible for supervising shipping personnel, coordinating shipment schedules, maintaining shipping accuracy, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and carrier requirements. The Parts Shipping Supervisor plays a key role in optimizing shipping workflows, minimizing errors, and maintaining high levels of service to internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of Parts Associates and Leads. Oversee the accurate picking, packing, labeling, and shipping of parts orders. Ensure all outgoing shipments are processed accurately and meet established shipping deadlines. Coordinate daily shipping activities with carriers, freight companies, and internal departments.

Monitor shipping accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and on-time shipment performance. Verify shipping documentation, including packing slips, bills of lading, tracking information, and freight paperwork. Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, damaged shipments, missing parts, and delivery issues. Ensure proper packaging methods are followed to prevent damage during transportation.

Maintain organization, cleanliness, and efficiency within shipping and staging areas. Train, coach, and evaluate shipping team members to ensure productivity, accuracy, and adherence to operational standards. Monitor employee workloads, assign daily tasks, and adjust staffing priorities based on shipping volumes. Collaborate with parts teams and other departments to ensure efficient order fulfillment.

Assist in developing and implementing process improvements to increase shipping efficiency and reduce operational costs. Generate and analyze reports related to shipping performance, order accuracy, productivity, and carrier performance. Ensure accurate shipping transactions and inventory updates within the company's inventory management system.

Ensure compliance with company policies, workplace safety standards, and shipping procedures. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred. 2–4+ years of shipping, warehouse, logistics, or parts distribution experience. 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience in warehousing.

Strong understanding of shipping procedures, warehouse operations, and inventory management systems. Experience coordinating shipments with parcel and freight carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and LTL freight providers. Familiarity with shipping documentation, order fulfillment processes, and packaging standards. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to obtain forklift certification Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently (more with assistance).

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods. Ability to work in both office and warehouse environments. Ability to operate or work around warehouse equipment while following established safety procedures.
