Slide Attendant - Aventura Mall

Position Summary

The Slide Attendant helps create a safe, welcoming, and memorable experience for guests visiting the landmark Aventura Slide Tower. This seasonal position runs from November 20 through the end of April, with the slide open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The role combines attentive safety oversight, exceptional customer service, and hands-on operational support.

The ideal candidate uses sound judgment, communicates clearly, works well as part of a team, and remains guest-focused in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

Promote a safe environment by applying established procedures and sound judgment Maintain high safety standards and remain alert and rescue-ready throughout each shift Greet guests, explain slide rules, provide clear instructions, and deliver friendly, attentive service Monitor guest flow and slide activity, responding promptly and professionally to safety concerns Communicate effectively in English with guests, team members, other departments, and company staff Share accurate information about Aventura Mall facilities, services, and the surrounding area Assist with operational tasks, including maintaining the grounds and carrying, storing, and stacking slide mats Use basic computer systems as required for daily operations and communication Collaborate with colleagues and support other Customer Service or Concierge Services functions as needed Maintain a professional, empathetic, and guest-focused approach, including during difficult interactions Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or current enrollment preferred At least one year of customer service, hospitality, recreation, or guest-facing experience preferred Bilingual or multilingual abilities preferred CPR/First Aid and OSHA certifications, or active pursuit of these certifications, preferred Strong customer service, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills Ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and de-escalate difficult situations with empathy Working knowledge of Aventura Mall, its facilities and services, and the surrounding area preferred Requirements : Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures Physical stamina to stand, walk, and repeatedly climb and descend the 93-foot spiral staircase for extended periods Ability to carry, store, and stack slide mats and perform other physical tasks associated with daily operations Ability to see, hear, speak, and communicate sufficiently to monitor activity and provide safety instructions, with or without reasonable accommodation Availability to work during the seasonal operating period from November 20 through the end of April, primarily Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, including holidays and extended hours as needed Ability to remain alert, attentive, and guest-focused throughout the shift
