Collaborate with CNC machinists and production teams to ensure programs are correctly executed and optimised for manufacturability.
Conduct program simulations and test run to verify accuracy, tool paths, and cycle times. Modify and improve existing CNC programs to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle time, and improve part quality. Support troubleshooting of machining issues related to programming, tooling, and process parameters. Work closely with Quality and Engineering teams to ensure parts meet design and quality requirements.
Maintain proper documentation of CNC programs, revisions, and machining processes. Ensure compliance with company safety standards and manufacturing procedures.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, and materials. Proficiency in G-code programming and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM, or similar). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical documentation.
Experience supporting CNC mills and/or lathes. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification, diploma, or associate degree in machining, manufacturing, or engineering is an advantage.
