As a JBJ Best Places to Work and one of the region's fastest-growing technology companies, we're looking for a hands-on Cybersecurity Operations Manager to lead our Security Operations function while remaining actively involved in incident response, threat detection, and security operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading people, improving security operations, solving complex security incidents, and serving as the trusted technical leader clients rely on when it matters most.

What You'll Do

Lead day-to-day Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, including threat monitoring, alert triage, investigation, and incident response. Serve as the final escalation point for security alerts and incidents across Scarlett's managed client environments. Lead containment, remediation, recovery, and post-incident reviews while helping improve security outcomes and reduce client risk.

Coach, mentor, and develop SOC team members through hands-on leadership, accountability, and technical guidance. Improve detection capabilities, response procedures, runbooks, playbooks, and security workflows. Manage relationships with MDR, SIEM, and security technology partners to ensure service quality and effectiveness.

Act as the senior technical resource in client-facing security discussions, incident reviews, and remediation planning. Collaborate with vCISO, Professional Services, Support, and Advanced Services teams to improve security operations, automation, and service delivery.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Candidates with a strong combination of relevant experience, technical expertise, and industry certifications will also be considered. 4+ years of cybersecurity, security operations, incident response, or threat detection experience.

2+ years of leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring, or managing technical teams. Strong understanding of EDR/XDR platforms, SIEM technologies, identity and access management, email security, and modern security operations. Experience investigating and responding to security incidents in real-world environments.

Ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure during active security events. Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical issues for clients and business stakeholders. Experience with NIST, CIS, ISO, CMMC, or other compliance and security frameworks is a plus. Security+, CySA+, GCIH, CISSP, GCFA, or similar certifications are highly valued.

Compensation

$80,000 - $95,000 annually Compensation will be determined based on experience, leadership background, incident response expertise, certifications, and overall qualifications. This position is salaried and exempt.
