Reporting to the President/CEO, the Senior Director serves as a trusted and credible advisor to the President/CEO, Divisional Presidents, and operational leadership teams. This position provides strategic direction while remaining closely engaged in the day-to-day needs of the business and its people.
The successful candidate will take the time to understand Brinkman's businesses, manufacturing environment, workforce, culture, and operating realities and translate that understanding into practical HR strategies and solutions that support the organization's business objectives. - Partner with the President/CEO, Divisional Presidents, and leadership teams on people and organizational strategy.
- Establish and execute HR priorities that support business objectives, workforce needs, and organizational growth.
- Lead and develop a strong, responsive HR team.

- Lead employee relations and provide practical guidance to managers on performance, workplace concerns, and difficult employee situations.
- Oversee recruiting, workforce planning, onboarding, retention, and employee development.
- Lead compensation and benefits strategy and programs.
- Strengthen employee engagement, communication, culture, and organizational effectiveness.
- Ensure HR policies, practices, and processes are effective, consistent, and compliant.
- Guide HR compliance within our manufacturing and federal contractor environment, including requirements associated with ITAR and other applicable regulations.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, systems, and the overall employee experience.
- Remain connected to the business and its people and step in personally when important issues require hands-on leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
- 10+ years of progressively responsible HR experience.
- Significant experience leading a broad HR function or serving as a senior HR leader.
- Strong employee relations, management coaching, recruiting, compliance, and HR operations experience.
- Experience in manufacturing or another operational environment strongly preferred.
- Experience in a federal contractor or regulated environment is a plus.
- SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or similar certification is preferred.
