Python Engineer – Sports betting Hedge Fund – London Please note this role cannot sponsor. Please do not apply if you are seeking sponsorship Job Summary Python Engineer is required for a successful startup delivering innovative solutions to the sports betting industry. They capitalize on advanced statistical models and machine learning to interpret the complexities of sports, providing deep analytical insights.

The successful candidate should have experience developing sports models used for prop trading. As Python Engineer you will need: 2-4 years experience in Python development and OOP experience. Ability to write clean, maintainable and well-structured Python code using OOP principles. Familiarity with Docker / containers.

Basic understanding of APIs (REST) Responsibilities and Duties Develop internal tools and systems to support traders, including automation scripts and web-based control consoles. Build and maintain end-to-end sports data pipelines, covering data scraping, data cleaning, transformation, and reliable data storage. Monitor, investigate, and troubleshoot data quality issues, such as missing, inconsistent, or duplicated records.

Maintain and enhance existing software projects, improving stability, performance, and usability over time. Analyse sports betting data and communicate actionable insights to traders and other non-technical users. Collaborate closely with users and stakeholders to understand requirements, propose solutions, and deliver high-quality features.
