Administrative/Technical Specialist

You will serve as an Administrative/Technical Specialist in the Business Operations Branch (GXWB), Missile Systems Hardware and Test Division (GXW), Global Deterrence and Defense Department (GX) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The full performance level of NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/GS-12 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating acquisition plans and techniques for pre-award and post-award functions to improve the efficiency and execution of program operations.

Examples of qualifying experience may include: (1) developing and maintaining long-term acquisition plans; (2) determining methods of procurement and contract types, documenting acquisition strategies, and securing appropriate approvals; (3) applying a comprehensive understanding of federal contracting regulations; (4) managing productive relationships with vendors and contracting partners.
