• Hotel, Host Reports to: F&B Manager, Assistant F&B Service Director, F&B Service Director, F&B Director Supervises: No supervisory duties are included in this position. Classification: Non-Exempt Job Summary Greet members as they arrive at the restaurant & manage flow into the dining room.

Essential Functions

Leadership Promotes a positive restaurant culture. Service Review daily reservations and assign appropriate tables. Greet incoming and departing Guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact; escort them to assigned dining area; present menus; announce waiter's name. Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service, including reservations for members in any of the Club’s F&B outlets and the ability to take to-go orders.

Attends to members' special needs and requests. Knows and is able to communicate the menu items and daily specials. Safety and Sanitation Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol control policies. Maintain cleanliness at the host podium and surrounding areas. Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.

Other Functions Help dining room staff by setting and clearing tables, replenishing water, and serving beverages. Observant to Guests' needs throughout the dining experience to ensure they receive high-quality service (i.e., notice a drink refill is needed while seating another Guest and ensuring the drink is refilled prior to getting back to the door).

Qualifications

Education

and/or Experience High School Diploma or GED preferred. 1 year related experience preferred. Licenses and Special Requirements Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages. Food safety certification preferred. Alcoholic beverage certification preferred. Physical Demands and Work Environment Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, and twist or reach.

Push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds. Continuous repetitive motions. Work in hot, humid, and noisy environments.
