Ablaze Director of Children's Church

Ablaze Director of Children's Church – Ages 6mo. -11yrs The Ablaze Director of Children’s Church will manage the Nursery, Preschool and Elementary. The ADCC will oversee the educational, curriculums and empowerment activity efforts of the Children Church Ministry. Additionally, the ADCC will ensure that roles are being performed adequately and report deficiencies and inefficiencies to the Youth Pastor(s).

Position is Stipend/Salary Position May Be Filled By Church Member Minimum Maturity Level Stable, Mature Christian; Tither Spiritual Gifts Administration, Leadership, Teaching, Encouraging Talents and Abilities Desired Strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills Best Personality Trait People oriented, Friendly, Expresser-leader Passion For Helping others in their Spiritual Growth Length of Service Commitment One Year Commitment Preferred Qualifications Must be knowledgeable and in agreement with the vision, goals, mission and objectives of the children and youth ministry Must have good interpersonal skills Must have good communication skills (written and oral) Must have good organizational skills Must have good working knowledge of church policies and procedures Must be able to positively interact and lead a group of other ministry leaders Previous experience in children and youth ministry or Christian education is a plus but not required Anticipated Time Commitments Doing Ministry/preparing for ministry: A minimum of 20 hours a week Actively engaged in children’s church: Sunday Mornings and Wednesday evening Participating in meetings/training: One to three hours a week Responsibilities/Duties Assist the Youth Pastors in weekly routines Assist Youth Pastors in making and achieving monthly, quarterly and yearly goals Manage Children and Youth Coordinators and Children and Youth Data Base Assist Coordinators in making and achieving monthly, quarterly and yearly goals Provide immediate feedback to Youth Pastors Oversee flow of children and Youth from beginning to end of Children’s Church, Bible Study and other activities Create and implement approved recognitions and incentives for Children’s Church Staff.

Create recognitions and incentives for youth that actively participate in Children’s Church Ministry. Support children and Ablaze staff members Recruit workers for the ministry (teachers and assistants) Collect and study data for monthly scorecard and make recommendations for improvements
